Why You need to become an activist?

I would like to change the direction of this blog.  I would like it to be a format for discussion on:
politics, the vanishing middle class,why we have a class system in this country,  why the middle class is under attack, why people continue to fight against one another in the political arena, and why are we as people prone to believe lies instead of truth? 

So I asked the question:  Why YOU need to become an ACTIVIST?

What I could say...




 Because if you don't, you leave your life in the in hands of others who, more than likely do not have your interest at heart.


If you remain apathetic and complacent whatever happens in the political process in the local and national community you cannot complain about after the fact.


It is important to be involved and not depend on the behavior of others to look out for your well being.


You are important to the political process because it is the other event that affects your life besides death and taxes.


If you wait ... laws will be initiated that will affect not only you, your children and their children's  for generations.  


Remember States like WI, OH, FL, etc....


Your elected officials have no interest in your welfare.  They are not in touch with regular people.  They make laws to support corporations.


Our democracy is suppose to be:  
"By the people and for the people".  But instead it is government "By the State and National Congress  for the Corporations". 


You are being held hostage and do not know it.  
You are being lied to and you refuse to believe it.  
You are like an abused person... in a state of denial ... knowing things will never change... but hoping if you ignore the situation, it will go away... 


It won't....

What I Could Say Is...Listening

Can you hear me?  Listen to what is being said... because if you don't you will not understand what is said.  You will misconstrue, misrepresent and miss it all together.  Do you hear me?

What I will say.... You are responsible for YOU

As you sit in front of your television or video game zoning out, attempting to escape the reality of the day, week, month or year, remember...you are responsible for you.  While you sit there watching reality television, which is not reality at all, just entertainment, remember ... your livelihood is being controlled by wealthy men and women, in your local and national legislature.  While you unwittingly hand over your power (your freedom...which is being eroded daily) to that group of people mentioned above and you use the excuse that "politics"(

 has nothing to do with you, remember... YOU are responsible for you.  You are responsible for the outcome in your hourly, daily, weekly, monthly and yearly life because you will not, would not, did not get involved in the very "Political" process that affects every facet of your life.   YOU are responsible for YOU.  You are responsible to stay informed, to question what you read and hear from mainstream media (which in my opinion is "propagandize" news).  You are responsible not to allow yourself to remain complacent and non reactive to what is happening to you and your neighbors. [FORECLOSURE, UNEMPLOYMENT,HOMELESSNESS, POVERTY] ... YOU are responsible for YOU!!!  You are responsible for ... whatever hardship you might or will be experiencing in your life today, tomorrow, next week, month, YEAR... because YOU are allowing others, who have no concern for your well-being, to speak for you in your local and national legislature.  So as you sit in front of your television or video game ... doing nothing to change your circumstances...Remember ...YOU are responsible!!!

What I Could Say Is...The void in your life...

Some women try to fill the void in their life with a man.  Before they snare one, they pine and mourn over being lonely and alone and want a companion or to be in a relationship so bad that they invariably, time after time, end up in a worse dysfunctional relationship than their last. 
What I could say ... Stop looking for fulfillment from someone else.  Learn how to be alone with you.  Practice being...  Until you learn to just be.. with you... you will be no benefit to others including yourself.  You find that even when you have the companionship you longed for, you still have that feeling of being alone...You still are not content in your own skin.
